South Hills Library is a unique and vibrant region F service provider. Very small library serving different needs of its large community. The library provides the community with information services through the promotion and development of reading and lifelong learning to the communities of South Hills, Steeldale, Moffat View, City Deep, La Rochelle, Regents Park, Unigray, Tulisa Park and Elands Park. The library has a beautiful relationship with surrounding schools, Old Age homes, Creches and Community leaders. Library offers homework assistance, reference services, career guidance and research support. Our special ongoing programmes are offered to senior citizen for its reading club and mobile library and visit Queenshaven Old Age home. The library also organizes reading competitions programmes that aim to empower the youth with lifelong skills, e.g Story Skirmish and Battle of the Books.

Unfortunately the City of Johannesburg no longer offers voluntary work in libraries. You can consider approaching academic libraries even at UNISA.
