The Lenasia Ext .3 Library is one of two libraries in Lenasia and it has been in existance for around 40 years under auspices of the City of Johannesburg. The library opened in 1975 and was originally housed in a 800 square room but received a significant extension 15 years ago. The library now has a separate children’s and adults sections. The library is located in Recreation Centre and is in close proximity to primary and secondary schools in the area. We have programmes for young children’s to adults which are Story Skirmish, Battle of the Book, and Science Scuffle, Book club, Story Telling, and Business Workshops.
Hi there.
How do I join my kids to the library and fey a library card?
Dear Khadija
You can register for free online, click on Membership from the website homepage (www.cojelearning.org.za), and fill in the Google form, for yourself and the children. Your membership numbers will be ready within 7 working days. You can use that membership number for E-books and audiobooks through the Libby app, and other online resources like digital newspapers and magazines, or online articles for research through our website. You can also use it at any of the 87 City of Johannesburg libraries for printed books. You can also visit any branch to use study areas.
Happy reading!!
