Dobsonville Library

Dobsinville Library has an activity room which is named after one of the Dobsinville Stalwart and a first qualified African Electrical Engineer in South Africa Mr. W.M. Tshaziba. The activity room is available for library programmes and is also available for booking by the community members. The library host holiday programmes during school holidays. We do various activities e.g storytelling, face painting, indigenous games and many more. These are always well attended and enjoyed by the children and their parents.

  1. Hi does dobsonville library offer free computer lessons or do you charge if so how much and when do the classses take place

    Thank you

    1. Dear Makhosazana
Our libraries do not have standard regular computer lessons, but as part of digital literacy, we do host group sessions in some branches if there is a group that is organized, sometimes through an NGO or organised by the library. You can speak to the librarian at Dobsonville and ask if they can host a group, and you can mobilize that group. The library would then contact our Elearning Office for support with computers. Another option, please find out from the librarian if they can help you in using a computer inside the library if they have it, to learn basics. You can also go through our http://www.cojelearning.org.za website and select Learn with Microsoft, register for free computer courses, and get a certificate. This is the link to register https://www.cojelearning.org.za/coj-skills-for-jobs/
