Lenasia South Library was opened in the year 1995 by SMLC municipality. The library is located in the suburb of Lenasia South and it forms an integral part of 14 libraries in region g under City of Johannesburg Libraries. The library offers the following programs; Science Scuffle, Battle of the Books, Story Skirmish, Storytimes, Business workshops Family Literacy, Teen Book Club, Healthy Lifestyle Events, Career Expo, events, and Holiday programmes E-books are accessible by registered members of the library on overdrive. Lenasia South Library is committed to community development and continual community support because it believes that a well-read and educated community is one that thrives and can defeat social ills.

YOu can apply for him in person by bringing your ID and proof of residence and his birth certificate to the nearest library, or you can apply online to use Ebooks and bring the documents later to the library when you need hardcopy books. To apply online> You visit our website http://www.cojelearning.org.za on the home page, you click “membership:” and fill in a Google form. Your membership will be ready within 7 days and you use the allocated number at any branch within the Johannesburg municipality.

Congratulations on your progress with your LIS studies. Unfortunately the engagement of volunteers in libraries is no longer accepted within the Municipality due to labor relations issues.
You can try smaller municipalities or universities perhaps.

To apply for FREE membership online> visit our website http://www.cojelearning.org.za home page by clicking “membership:” and you fill in a Google form. Your membership will be ready within 7 days and you use the allocated number at any branch within the Johannesburg municipality. You will then be able to use our services both online and physical books
The branch will guide you on how ling you can take the printed books, it is usually 2 weeks, and it is FREE.
